1965-1970s collection of seventeen covers with variety of franking's from the 1965 Battle of Britain issue, mostly on illustrated covers, cancelled first day of issue, four with Biggen Hill marks signed by Battle of Britain pilots, including: MacDonnell, Fenton, Kayall, Cunningham, Pickering, Lee, Gibbs, Gleave, Hope, Henderson, Stephen, Deere, Beaumont, Gillam, also 1977 Historic Aviators cover signed by Douglas Barder, (Who shot down 23 German Aircraft) with accompanied by handwritten letter sent by Barder, press clippings and assorted ephemera, mixed condition, still a fascinating and historically important lot, record the efforts of ?The few?.
