After William Hogarth (1697 - 1764), The Rake's Progress, a set of eight engravings, plate 8 retouched by the author 1763 (third state of three), plate 35.5 x 41 cm, sheet 45 x 50 cm, framed and glazed 47 x 52 cm Qty: (8) All plates have a publication date of June 25 1735, Plate 6 - 'Sold at Ye Golden Head in Leicester Fields London'. Double impression of text on plates 1 and 5. Foxing and discolouring of paper throughout commensurate with age. Some slight creases visible but no signs of tears. The prints have not been inspected out of the frames.
