R & P Higgs, London - George III silver verge pair cased pocket watch, London 1768, the signed fusee movement, no. 4100, with pierced engraved balance cock with mask, steel three arm balance, silvered regulating disc and square baluster pillars, the dial with Arabic numerals and minute markers, within plain matching cases, case maker 'HB', 49mm; key (movement requires attention)
Movement - clean, ticking but not consistently and missing hairspring, requires attention.
Dial - good.
Glass - light surface scratches.
Hands - not matching, light marks.
Case - inner case generally good, with light surface marks, mild small bruise to the edge of the case, the stem is a replacement, outer case with some tarnish marks but overall good, button probably a replacement and with mild rubbing and hole to the centre.
