AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY CASED 18CT GOLD SWIZZLE STICK, numbered & hallmarked to body with Maker’s mark D&F, 18ct, engraved with presentation message ‘To A.H.M from M.H Dec. 11th 1938’. The 18ct gold barrel extends with sliding polished band to reveal seven prong stirrer. While modern swizzle sticks are used in cocktails, this would likely have been used to remove bubbles from champagne. Dimensions: 9.3cm long when closed; 13cm long when opened. Weight: 7.18g approx.
