A Chinese Bronze Censer in the form of Two Guardian Lion Dogs.

This Chinese incense burner is sculpted in the form of two mythical lion dogs, known as "Foo Dogs," which are traditional symbols of protection and power in Chinese culture. Cast in bronze, each lion dog is depicted with robust and muscular forms, adorned with intricate swirling patterns and flame-like motifs on their manes and bodies. The dynamic composition captures the guardian figures in a moment of interaction. This incense burner not only functioned to scent the surroundings but also stood as a protective emblem at the entrance of sacred spaces.
