Antique Carved Bamboo Brush Pot Depicting a Samurai Warrior. A large antique hand-carved cylindrical vessel, identified through market comparables as a brush pot (bitong). The object is carved from bamboo or wood exhibiting a dark reddish-brown finish. The exterior features deep relief carving depicting a stylized anthropomorphic figure, possibly a Samurai or ancestor, wearing traditional robes and a distinctive hat.
