Very rare all-metal cosh (or sap/life-preserver) system cane, the metal crook handle and hollow shaft painted black, with a white metal end cap to the handle, white metal collar to conceal the join between handle and shaft, and metal ferrule stamped VERKUR; concealing a 28 cm cosh as a tightly woven metal coil covered by a hard rubber sheath, simple pull-release action, Continental circa 1900s, length 87cm (this cane design featured in Cane Curiosa by Catherine Dike, p. 277 & 280)

Complete original condition, handle fits tightly in the shaft, some perishing of rubber on cosh, paint chips and surface wear to cane.
