A pair of excellent quality Coalport covered urns with hand painted scenes, each featuring a large bodied design with gilt ram’s head handles, cobalt blue and blush ivory background with heavy gilt decoration, both on square pedestal bases and with removable lids. Each vase having hand painted scene to front – one of a Bamborough castle scene and one of a Dunster castle scene, exceptional gilding surround with green back stamp to base – dating circa 1891 and measuring approx. 42cm in height with finial top
both vases are in excellent condition and are free from any chips, cracks, crazing or restoration.
