A pair of Chinese blanc de chine Buddhistic lions. Qianlong, each beast rests its paw upon a ball, on square plinth bases, paper label for Geoffrey Waters, height 15cm (2). From a country house on the Lizard, Cornwall. One lion has had a leg repaired, both lions are missing ears and the tails on both are chipped. There are various other chips to the adornments on the lions. There are various firing flaws on both pieces. Images have been added to show all of these.
