A late 19c Swiss music box playing six airs on a 15.5cm long plated barrel with a fifty one tooth comb. Behind the barrel are a drum and three bells, the drum having five individual beaters. The movement has levers to disconnect either the drum or the bells. Inside the box lid is a paper indicating the six airs played. The box has a rosewood finish lid with rectangular line inlay and a central floral inlay. The box is 43cm w.
The movement is in good clean playing condition with no damage to the comb tooth and the percussion instruments all work. The box is in similar restored condition.
