Perry, Glen C.H. "Dear Bart - Washington Views of World War II...", foreword by Edmond P. Barnett, published by Greenwood Press 1982, signed dedication by the author on the ffep, also with a newspaper cutting about the author which has a note written by the author on the reverse side (see images), black cloth, titles. Glen Perry was a Washington DC-based newspaper reporter for the New York Sun during WWII. He was instrumental in setting up lines of communication between reporters and Ernest J. King, the fleet admiral of the US Navy. The reporters produced memos to their editors from the King briefings - Perry saved his and later compiled them as a book. Among the highlights of Perry's career was standing in the Oval Office while Roosevelt sat next to Churchill, who spoke to reporters after the Japanese raid on Pearl Harbour and gave his famous 'V for victory' sign.
