A late 19th Century Royal Worcester blush ivory floor standing oil lamp, the reservoir with sprays of flowers and foliage within a moulded border, raised to turned and cast brass fittings with three blush ivory sections leading to a bowl section base, all to a cast brass circular foot with three scroll feet, the reservoir with puce mark for circa 1891, stamped Hinks and Son Patent 4334-89, total height 173cm

This was purchased by the vendor in the 1970s and she has always known it with the shade it has, so it is likely a period shade.
The lamp itself has not been taken apart (nor are we able to) and so the edges / fittings are unexamined. There is some very minor wear and rubbing to the decoration, commensurate with age. Likewise to the metal fittings and base, there is light wear. The cast metal base has a hole in it, which looks like a factory drill hole.
The upper bowl has quite considerable wear to the gilding and the reservoir looks to have been sprayed with something which is now peeling away. It could be a sign of a very professional repair but there is no visible signs of what would have been repaired.
