A large Japanese porcelain model of two quail on a bamboo root, 19th century, each bird modelled perched upon the root of a bamboo, with a ladybird to one end, impressed seal mark, 46cm wide
PROVENANCE: From the collection of Dr Christopher & Mrs Helen Girton
The piece shows small chips and nibbles to the highpoints of the bamboo root and surface wear commensurate with age, but no obvious cracks, crazing or evidence of restoration.
