AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY GIANT SOUTH AMERICAN RIVER TURTLE BLONDE SHELL (PODOCNEMIS EXPANSA).
Provenance: The Turtle shell was collected during an exploration trip of the Amazon in around 1830. It has remained in the vendor’s family since. Several Turtles were killed when the exploration team ran out of meat.
