A (GWR) cabside numberplate, 7923, from a 6959 Modified Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in September 1950 and named SPEKE HALL after a National Trust property on the outskirts of Liverpool. Allocated new to Swindon and later Southall, Old Oak Common and Cardiff East Dock from where it was withdrawn in June 1965 and sold for scrap to Cohens, Morriston, Swansea.
