A Chinese Jade Axe (Yue). This carved jade object is shaped like an ancient ceremonial axe blade, exhibiting a variegated palette of pale green, grey, and brown hues with pronounced mottled inclusions and natural veining. The piece features a flaring blade-like edge on one side, and a tang-like projection on the opposite side, which includes a single circular perforation and two rectangular notches.
