Death Plaque for 4125 Pte Arthur Pechey Spanton No 3 Coy 1st Bn HAC. Killed in Action 1/11/1916. Buried Mesnil Communal Cemetery Extension. Lived London. Son of William Silas Spanton, respected British Artist based in Bury St Edmunds, and his sister Helen was a respected pre-Raphaelite Artist who was also a significant Suffragette who was jailed for 2 months in Holloway for damage to government property.
