"Culpeper's Herbal Improved - a New Family Herbal of all British and Foreign Herbs, Plants, Roots ..., etc which are at present known to be useful to man ...from the works of Gerard Parkinson, Culpepper Hill, Woodville by Richard Brook" Huddersfield printed and published by Richard Brook in 1847, coloured frontis with tissue guard, coloured plates, the hinges are a bit cracked, original publishers cloth but the backstrip is splitting and slight loss to the head of the backstrip and some staining, Robinson, Matthew "The New Family Herbal - comprising a description and the medical virtues of British and Foreign plants ...", William Nicholson & Sons circa 1850's, colour plates, some double colour plates, the half-title and frontis are loose, but present, ffep creased and with tears, pastedown inside front board, front board detaching, original publishers maroon cloth with gilt titles to front board and backstrip, all edges red and a similar copy which has been rebacked (3)
