A mid-19th century fruitwood Windsor chair: pierced splat and spindle back above a shaped bow and shaped patinated elm seat, raised on four turned, tapering and slightly splaying legs united by a crinoline stretcher (LWH 59  x 50 x 91 cm highest point of back)

More Information

Condition Report: The chair has an old repair to the middle of the crinoline stretcher to the underside, one leg at the front has a vertical historic dark crack (not visible from the front), there are other smaller cracks. The back legs have been tipped and there are scuffs commensurate with age. A small square section away from the underside of the seat towards the edge (nice colour to seat). The front right arm is sadly completely off and re-affixed. There are other holes around that area. The left arm (looking from the front) is also plugged. There scratches on the bow at the back. The splat is in good order. Overall the chair has scuffs and knocks commensurate with age but is still a good looking chair.
