Claudia Clare (British born 1962), A Century Plant teapot from The World Service Tea Set. Height 60 cm, together with Venus Flytrap sugar bowl height 7 cm and a small plant milk jug 8 cm, together with a booklet of The World Service Tea Set and postcard (see illustration).
The very top of the teapot, the floral section has numerous breaks, some which have been glued and some which have been restored. The lid of the teapot, one section of leaves has been broken and glued back into position. The main body of the teapot is generally in good order; there are some stress fractures but nothing that is open or untoward. The Venus fly trap sugar bowl has six chips to the tips of the spiked sections and the milk jug some of the spiked sections down the side have been rounded off but these appear to have been created like this.
