Bernard Leach, CBE (1887-1979), a studio pottery stoneware globular pot, iron brushwork of a stylised tree with blue wash, painted “BL” monogram, impressed St.Ives seal and “England”, 8cm high.
Under UV light examination, there is some evidence of small spots, indictive of a firing fault. This has no impact on the glaze or the structural integrity of the item.
