An antique Japanese lacquered cabinet on stand with brass fittings and original key, likely c.1800 or earlier. The cabinet opens to show a bank of various sized lacquered drawers with 2 lower cupboards, all decorated with scenes of Japanese landscapes, flora and fauna, the interior of the doors decorated with cranes. The exterior with a Japanese landscape and mounted with elaborate gilt metal hinges and lockplate, The stand likely English made c.1800
