A group of five comprising India General Service Medal 1895-1902 with Relief of Chitral 1895 and Punjab Frontier 1897-98 clasps named to Surgn Capt J.E. Brogden A.M.S. China 1900 Medal to Captn J. E. Brogden R.A.M. Corps, 1915 Star to Lt. Col J.E. Brogden R.A.M.C., War medal and Victory medal with mentioned in despatches oak leaf to Lt. Col J.E. Brogden. James England Brogden was born in Portsmouth on the 28th August 1865, later living on the Isle of Wight. He was appointed Lieutenant Colonel on the 15th September 1913 and served in France from the 23rd July 1915. His Mention in Despatches was published in the Gazette on the 1st January 1916.
