IRISH FLAT SIDED FLAGON. 12.9ins tall. Flat sided t.t. flagon, rear handle, cork lip. Three lines impressed to shoulder Joseph Semple/ Wine Merchant/ SEAPOINT (seaside town below Dublin, Ireland). Rare Mc Adam p.m. (1837-1879, John McAdam emigrated & set up Bendigo Pottery, Castlemaine, Australia, which he called Hyde Park, same name as the Glasgow establishment). In manufacture blow holes & some rusting, couple rim nibbles. Rare.
