Japanese Meiji period (1868-1912) satsuma oviform vase, painted and gilt with immortal and attendants in celestial landscape, and a group of ladies, one weaving, within brocaded borders, with phoenix moulded handles suspending ribbons and swags above lappet-shaped foot rim (cracked and restoration, lacking foot), adapted as a lamp, 38.5cm high excluding fittings and a Japanese Kutani oviform vase adapted as a lamp, painted in gilt with birds perched on flowering prunus within shaped cartouches, on a brocaded ground (cracked and restored), 24cm high excluding fittings, both on wooden bases (both adapted for electricity) (2)
