dark blue painted outer shell.  The front with white stencilled "SC" over "Police".  Inner brim dated 1939.  Black treated linen liner.  Fibre frame by "Helmets Ltd" dated 1939.  Rubber, circular crown pad.  Sprung side webbing chinstrap.
