Albertas Žulkus (1933-2016) was a Lithuanian sculptor educated at the School of Fine Arts in Telšiai, which later developed into the Technical School of Applied Arts. From 1958 the artist lived and worked in Palanga. From 1958 to 1993 he worked at the Klaipėda Art Center "Dailė". Alberta's Žulkus spent many years perfecting the harmony between wood and amber in a single composition. Works by Albertas Žulkus are also popular among art lovers in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, France and Russia. His works are in art collections in the United States. Some of the artist's creations were acquired by and exhibited in the Amber Museum in Palanga, as well as ethnographic museums in Kretinga, Telšiai, Plungė, Vilnius and Kaunas.
