Bernard LEACH (1887-1979) A bud vase, oatmeal glaze with three formal red and black spot designs Height 8.5 cm Painted initials BL and impressed Leach pottery and England seals Collector's Note "This early pot was a gift to Michael Cardew when he left St Ives Pottery in 1926. Cardew in turn gave it to the man who fired his kiln at Wenford Bridge and when he died it was auctioned by Jefferys at Lostwithiel." This delightful piece is in excellent condition.
