A Pair of Chinese Qianli Jiangshan Polychrome Porcelain Tea Cups
A pair of small, handleless Chinese tea cups (likely intended for tea or liquor), crafted from white porcelain, often identified in the market as 'Jade White Porcelain' due to its smooth finish. The exterior of each cup is decorated with a continuous, hand-painted polychrome traditional Chinese landscape scene in the shan shui style. The decoration features mountains rendered primarily in shades of blue, indigo, and green, accented by lighter ochre tones, set against the white porcelain ground. Above the landscape band, black calligraphic text reads ???? (Qi?nl? Ji?ngsh?n), which translates to "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains," accompanied by small red seal marks. The interiors of the cups are finished with a glossy white glaze.
