Carl Bevan Art presents - The Great,Welsh Art/Rock & Roll charity auction.

A treasure trove of unique and exquisite objects of desire, blagged and badgered from the cream of Welsh music and art talent by 60ft Dolls drummer turned artist, Carl Bevan. The auction is in memory of his late, great friend and mentor, sculptor Dominic Gubb who tragically passed away in December 2022 at the age of 54

Proceeds raised will be shared between the fund set up in his memory at Afon Taf high school, in Merthyr, where he taught for 30 years, and Llamau, a leading homelessness charity supporting the most vulnerable young people and women of South Wales.

A huge debt of gratitude is owed to the artists, musicians and organisations who generously donated these items to create this unique, one-off collection.

The auction will be run simultaneously with the live event at the Flowerhorn Brewery at the Bridge Studios where Carl has his art studio and auctioneered by BBC broadcaster Huw Stephens.

To watch the auction live from the auction room as it happens, tune into the live stream at starting at 6:15pm on Saturday May the 18th. You will not be able to bid via the livestream. Bids must be placed on Easy Live Auction, please make sure you have registered for bidding prior to the event and set up your account and payment method.

The auction will be help at The Flowerhorn Brewery, The Bridge Studios, 454 Western Avenue, Cardiff CF5 3BL.

The gates open at 2pm with the Carl Bevan 2024 collection consisting of 12 original paintings opening at 3pm. All paintings are available for sale and will be sold on a first come first served basis.
Live acts start at 4:40 including BOYO, Carwyn Ellis, Al Lewis, Joe Kelly and Dainton from Dirty Sanchez.

The tap room will be open serving quality craft beer by brew alchemists - The Flowerhorn Brewery and food festival regulars Mr Croquewich will be serving mind-blowing grilled cheese and fried chicken.

If you place a bid on a lot then you are agreeing to purchase that lot at the price you have bid and all bids are final The Winning bidders must pay for lots must be paid for in full within 7 days of invoice. In the spirit of the charity fundraising nature of the event, bidders must be prepared to honour and pay the full amount of their bids at all times whilst the auction is running as all bids are non-retractable. By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions you agree to pay in full for any lots that you bid on and this is legally binding.

If you are the winning bidder of a lot you will be invoiced within 48 hours with a number of payment options. Payment options are credit/debit card or uk bank transfer. Please note we do not accept payments via PayPal

100% (minus any payment fees from card services) will be donated to the above charities for all of the items donated by celebrities and organisations. For working artists such as Meinir Mathias, Jon Langford, Kevin Sinnot and Carl Bevan, 50% of the winning bid price will be donated and the other 50% retained by the artists, as they are working, professional artists and this is their livelihood. The auction is acting in the role of an art gallery gallery and donating its 50% commission to the charities
Shipping options can be arranged with the seller after the auction item is fully paid for. Items will be packaged by the seller. For items that contain glass, no guarantee will be made for this to arrive in one piece at the other end. Although every effort will be made to pack items as securely and safely as possible if you are bidding on an item containing glass ( a framed item for instance) then a local pickup from Cardiff is preferred. Shipping quotes can be provided for Royal Mail, Parcelforce and DHL International and agreed and paid for in advance of the item being shipped.Insurance for items will be included at the buyers cost. You are welcome to arrange your own courier to pick up a packed item ready for transit by arrangement with the seller.
