Mayor of Lincoln Charity Auction

Take a look at the charity auction close to the Mayor's heart.

Rosanne Kirk, Mayor of Lincoln, has chosen the Urology Department at Lincoln County Hospital as her dedicated charity this year, in recognition of the amazing work that they do.

With over 30 lots up for grabs some of these great items will include:

  • A Red Arrows Flying Suit worn by Squadron Leader Steve Morris.
  • An amazing one of kind hand painted vase with a design of Lincoln Cathedral by artist Anita Harris who was also once lead designer at Poole Pottery

The auction will run this Wednesday 2nd November, 6pm with bidding in person at Unique Auctions at Teal Park, Lincoln, with viewing from 2pm and of course, running on our incredible live bidding platform.

The cause and Prostate Awareness is close to Rosanne as she sadly lost her father to prostate cancer in 2021, and she has been working with Prostate Cancer UK to raise awareness. As part of Rosanne's fundraising we have a Charity Auction on Wednesday 2nd November, with all monies raised going directly to the charity.

Mayor Rosanne Kirk said: “During my mayoral year, I would like to support Lincoln County Hospital. I have chosen the Urology Department, having sadly lost my father to prostate cancer in 2021. This has given me the determination to not only raise funds for the Urology Department, but to raise much-needed awareness of prostate cancer.

Nicola Ambridge-Richardson, Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist, said: “The Urology Department provides treatment, care and support for patients and their families across Lincolnshire. We are extremely grateful that the Mayor has chosen to support and raise funds for our department. Any funds raised will help improve the patient environment and go towards purchasing new equipment, specifically involved in prostate cancer investigations and diagnosis. We as a team look forward to working with the Mayor at future fundraising events.”

The charity auction also received donations from a number of businesses including The Whisky Shop, Sanctuary in the Bail, Little Red Gallery and others.
