Nortrad Auctions bring together buyers and sellers of a wide variety of items in one convenient place. We offer regular auctions that range from small collectable pieces, such as comics, glassware and pottery to large pieces of Antique and Mid-Century furniture. Our items can be won from just a few pounds to thousands, so we cater to anyone’s ambitions.

Our owner has been involved in the world of auctions for the last 25+ years and finally in 2015 he decided to branch out on his own. Selling a handful of items from his home, he has grown to now running out of a 1,750 square foot business park where a small team of people are always ready to help and always work in a professional manner. We currently run both Live and Timed online auctions.

2019 saw Nortrad Auctions grow substantially which allowed us the ability to improve our website to what you see now and offer more auctions. We sell online via which gives our sellers the widest possible opportunity to gain the best price for their items.


All lots are “sold as seen” and any description is to be used as a guide only. All images, unless otherwise stated, are of the actual item that is to be auctioned. It is the responsibility of the buyer to thoroughly read the item description and view all images. Condition reports are given upon request only. A viewing of any item is also advised but strictly by appointment only.

Electrical items should be considered untested, unless otherwise stated, and should be used at the risk of the buyer.

Commission charges for buying:

All lots purchased are subject to buyer’s premium at 19.5% + VAT on top of the hammer price, with a minimum buyer’s premium charge of £1.50 + VAT per lot.

An additional 3% + VAT is charged on behalf of Alternatively, buyers have the option to pay a flat fee when completing registration on our live auctions. The price of this flat fee is set by and covers there fee and not Nortrad Auctions Ltd.


All items won must be paid for in full within 72 hours of the sale ending, this includes any postage/courier charge if this service is required. Failure to make payment within this timeframe will result in a late payment fee of £5 per invoice and a storage charge of £5 per item per day being added to the invoice. This will be added for a maximum of 7 working days. After this time, the lot is considered to be forfeited and will be re-sold in the following sale, and the buyer may be banned from using our services at our sole discretion. Nortrad Auctions Ltd may also pass the debt onto a recovery company which may incur the buyer having additional fees added.

Collection / Delivery:

Buyers are expected to contact us within 72 hours of the sale ending to arrange either collection or delivery of won lots.

Collection is strictly by appointment only, which should be within 1 week of the sale. Social distancing must be observed during collection and until notified, a mask must be worn whilst on our premises. Failure to collect within this time, to request shipping, or to arrange an alternative arrangement with us, will result in a storage charge of £5 per item, per day for a maximum of 7 days, thereafter this fee goes up to £10 per item, per day to a maximum of 30 days. After a period of 30 days, the lot/s is/are considered to be forfeited and will be re-sold in the next available sale, and the buyer may be banned from using our services at our sole discretion and any payment made to Nortrad Auctions is deemed as forfeited and non refundable and any goods will revert as being the property of Nortrad Auctions Ltd.

All items should be inspected upon collection. Once items leave our premises, they are considered to have been accepted by the buyer and no refund or return will be considered.

Buyers should ensure that they have suitable assistance / equipment to load items into their vehicles, as assistance is not always possible.


Nortrad Auctions currently accept select items from a large number of vendors and encourage you to contact us if you wish to enter items into our next auction.

Our current sellers commission is 15% + VAT of the hammer price, with a minimum charge of £5. We offer a competitive “No sale – No fee” policy, this does not apply to any House Clearance items where we have a strict Lotting Fee of £1 + vat per Lot to each and every Lot and for each and every time it is placed in any or all of our auctions.

In addition to usual item entries, we also offer bulk clearance services of both domestic and commercial properties or storage facilities. Please contact us to discuss your requirements further.

We reserve the right to refuse entry of any or all items without explanation.
Upon acceptance of auction entries, vendors are required to complete the appropriate paperwork, clearly listing all items that are to be entered and the required reserve price.

Payments for items sold will be made to the vendor within 30 days after the auction sale the items were sold in via bank transfer, please note that payment is only made on items that are sold and we have collected or been paid for by the buyer.
All item entries are limited to a maximum of 3 auctions each. After each unsuccessful sale, we will contact you to discuss either lowering the price, altering the lot entry or to arrange a time for you to collect unsold items. Following this, items may not be entered again for a minimum period of 6 months.

Additional Information:

Nortrad Auctions Ltd reserve the right to revise these terms and conditions, as well as our buyers / sellers fees at any time. It is the responsibility of the client to check the terms and conditions prior to using our services.

Shipping Policies:

Collecting items directly from the saleroom in Goudhurst, Kent, is the easiest and preferred way for you to obtain your items.

A variety of shipping options are available, and we are happy to work with buyers to ensure that they can get items shipped at competitive rates. It is advisable to contact the office prior to bidding (especially on large or bulky items). All shipping options are subject to a minimum packing charge of £5 per invoice.

Nortrad Auctions offer an in-house postage and packaging service. Please contact the office to request a quote as soon as possible after the sale.

Nortrad auctions also offer in-house delivery at competitive rates within a reasonable distance of the saleroom. Please contact the office to request a quote as soon as possible after the sale.

In addition to our in-house services, we are happy for buyers to arrange their own courier / shipping arrangements. Please contact the office to let them know as soon as arrangements have been made.

While we try our best to package all items as safely and securely as possible, Nortrad Auctions and its staff members accept no responsibility for any damage or loss of items that are sent via postal or courier companies. All items are sent uninsured and at the risk of the buyer unless additional insurance is requested.

Items that are not able to be posted, such as mixed lots containing lots of glassware or extremely fragile items, will clearly have this written in the item description.
