Shapes has enjoyed nearly 40 years of successful trading in Scotland’s capital city. Our company has grown to become one of Britain’s largest specialists in high quality domestic and contract furniture made to the highest standards. Since its opening, Shapes has grown to establish a thriving business which now incorporates an international auction business, antiques market and luxurious restaurant.

Auction sales are held the first Saturday of every month with over 600 lots of antiques and fine art each sale. Our specialists have a wealth of experience ranging from silver, jewellery, ceramics and paintings to Oriental rugs and furniture. To ensure we achieve the best possible price for your antiques, our advertising and marketing uses the traditional media as well as the internet. Our clients also benefit from the database which we have developed, incorporating tens of thousands of buyers, both at home and overseas.

To promote each auction, high quality printed catalogues are distributed to buyers worldwide. The catalogue is also published on our website. Our fast and efficient service is able to deal with the entire contents of a home, be it a small bungalow or a castle and we are qualified to provide formal valuations for legal, taxation or insurance purposes. In a market previously dominated by London-based firms, we represent a Scottish voice in the world of auctioneering.

For more in depth terms of sale please visit 'Buying' & 'Selling' on our website.
