Posterity was established in 1983 by David Urquhart, whose previous experience at Christies of London and ten years of restoring country properties combined to provide the basis for this unique and imaginative business.
David's first step into salvage was through exasperation – having initially moved to West Gloucestershire to buy and renovate properties, he found that there was nowhere to buy materials for such projects. This gap in the market provided the inspiration that formed the basis of Posterity.
With colleague Nicholas Trigg, they have built up a considerable reputation for architectural antiques and reclamation.
