1869-1899 SMALL & LARGE QUEENS, MAP STAMPS ON COVER: A small group of attractive envs. mainly to local destinations inc. an 1869 (16 Oct.) ex Halifax to Boston franked with a pair of 3c Large Queens endorsed "BY STEAMER ALHAMBRA" (faults to flap); an 1875 (4 Jan.) env. ex Bridgewater to Toronto with a 2c & 3c Small Queen neatly tied with 6 ring "target" cancellations and a fine s/l "REGISTERED" adjacent (faults to flap); an 1899 (21 Dec.) env. to Halifax franked with a 2c Map stamp and a 5c QV Maple Leaf (both upside down) tied with a fine "MIDDLETON (ANNAPOLIS)" cds and a fine oval "R" in opposite corner; a 1900 2c postal stationery env. to Denmark uprated with a block of six ½c QV Maple Leaf stamps tied with large "PRESCOTT ONT." bar cancels and a v. fine Prescott squared circle in lower corner; plus a few with fancy cancels, duplex cancels, or advertising envs. Small faults on some but mainly in v. fine condition.
