A boulder opal and gem-set brooch. The boulder opal doublet carved to depict a peacock, atop an old-cut diamond and branch with similarly-cut diamond and circular-shape emerald leaves. May be worn as a pendant. Estimated total diamond weight 0.35ct, H-I colour, P1 clarity. Length 4.3cms. Weight 14.3gms.

  • Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Diamonds have small light and dark inclusions.
  • Boulder opal doublet consists of a carved boulder opal atop an opalised jasper back. There is good play of colour from red-blue, and some minor fractures.

  • Emeralds are a slightly bluish green hue, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Emeralds are in good condition.
