This significant work by 17th century French philosopher Pierre Gassendi details his system of logic and reconstruction of Epicurean philosophy, blending empiricism with ancient atomism to offer a more comprehensive worldview. This second British edition was a result of the high demand of the first edition, printed in 1660 by Redmayne's father-in-law, Roger Daniel.
