An officer’s double barrelled 34 bore percussion boxlock side hammer pistol with spring bayonet, by Morrison, Norwich, c 1850, 11” overall, octagonal barrels 5½”, signed on top flats, with 6½” top spring bayonet released by catch on the top strap, Birmingham proofs, swivel ramrod; with scroll engraved frame, hammers, and trigger guard, safety bolts, finely chequered rounded butt with rectangular silver escutcheon, and flat engraved steel butt cap with hinged trap. Good Working Order and Condition, dark patina overall with traces of original finish. Plate 13
