An officer’s double barrelled 34 bore percussion boxlock side hammer pistol with spring bayonet, by Morrison, Norwich, c 1850, 11” overall, octagonal barrels 5½”, signed on top flats, with 6½” top spring bayonet released by catch on the top strap, Birmingham proofs, swivel ramrod; with scroll engraved frame, hammers, and trigger guard, safety bolts, finely chequered rounded butt with rectangular silver escutcheon, and flat engraved steel butt cap with hinged trap.
