A 1956 MG A Roadster 1500, registration number 901 EKX, Chariot red.
The all new MG A was launched at the 1955 Frankfurt Motor Show, featuring the beautifully steamlined body and B Series engine. The A would remain in production until 1962 in both Roadster and coupé body styles. In 1959 the A was revised with a larger 1600cc engine and other modifications which became retrospectively known as the series II and the exotic twin cam was produced for a troubled limited period 1959-60.
This series I Roadster has formed part of a private collection and is being offered for sale because our vendor is in the happy position of having another MG A at his disposal and needs to consolidate the collection due to an imminent downsizing of his storage facility.
The A is described as being an honest and reliable car which has been used as intended including continental touring. Finished in chariot red with a tan leather interior and matching weather gear, the A further benefits from a luggage rack, chrome wire wheels and some engine upgrades including an alloy rocker cover.
901 EKX will be offered for sale with a history file and offers the opportunity to purchase a well maintained and proven example of the ever popular and collectible MG A.
