Barr Flight & Barr large tea cup and saucer, with gilt and vine decoration, tea cup height 8.5 cm, diameter 13.5 cm, saucer diameter 18.5 cm, with paper note to the interior - Waterloo cup and saucer made around 1815-1820 to celebrate The Battle of Waterloo.
The cup has loss of gilding to the rim, particularly to one section which is +/- 5 mm square. There are minor scratches in the bottom where things have been placed over the years. Generally the exterior decoration is in very good order as is the gilding. The saucer shows signs of light scratches but again nothing untoward.
