A mid 19th Century Richardsons satinised opal alabaster ware ewer & matching goblets, the ewer with a plain circular foot rising to a spherical body with high waisted neck, roll rim and applied arched handle, the body decorated in vitrified enamel with an en grisaille desert scene with three female figures by a well with a male figure before them, around and to the distance palm trees and a desert landscape, the handle further decorated with a trailing ivy band and ibex head, the conforming goblets having a circular spread foot rising to an inverted baluster stem, and spherical goblet decorated with an Egyptian port scene with figures and camels, to the reverse of each a well, marked Richardsons Vitrified enamel colours, jug height 23cm.
