A George III and later longcase clock with eight day movement, the oak case later carved profusely with acanthus leaves and rosettes, with a 13 inch brass broken arch dial with rolling moonphase, subsidiary seconds dial and a date aperture (defective), signed Paul Griffis London, height 241cm, later repairs and alterations.

More Information

The case has been carved later, probably late 19th Century. The dial has been married to the movement and in turn to the case. The seatboard is a later replacement. The pendulum is present and a pair of replacement weights and a winder are present.
