A late Victorian silver and gold gem-set crescent brooch. Designed as an alternating old-cut diamond and cultured pearl crescent. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Length 3.1cms. Weight 4gms.

  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Gold has discolouration.
  • Diamonds generally clean, with some small scattered inclusions, some surface reaching.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source.
  • Cultured pearls are a creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
  • Pearl size range 2.9 to 4.6mms.
  • Pearls in good condition with minor abrasions.
