Squadron Leader George Leonard Johnson MBE DFM (25 November 1921 ? 7 December 2022), better known as Johnny Johnson, was a British Royal Air Force officer who was the last surviving original member of No. 617 Squadron RAF and of Operation Chastise, the "Dambusters" raid of 1943. WW2 Tony Hiscock pilot 156 sqn bomber command signed stunning 12 x 8 inch b/w Lancaster in flight photo. He flew 68 missions and received a DFC. Flight Lieutenant Ted Stocker, who has died aged 95, flew 102 operations with the heavy bomber force over occupied Europe. He received the DSO, the only flight engineer to be awarded the decoration. 2 - WW2 RAF Wellington Bomber multiple signed bookplate 8 of 10, Flt Lt Trotman DFC * 150 Sqn, W/O Rupert Noye DFC 166 sqn, W/O D Fraser 115 sqn, W/O Jan Black Sangryciuk 300 Polish Sqn. W/O Jan Black Stangryciuk (born 1922) was a Polish Air Force air gunner with 300 Polish Bomber Squadron, known as the "Land of Masovia" Squadron. He flew operations in both Vickers Wellington and Avro Lancaster bombers. In 1942, he sustained serious burns in a training aircraft crash, becoming a member of the Guinea Pig Club and undergoing extensive plastic surgery. After recovery and a period as an instructor, he completed 18 combat operations and was demobilized after the war, eventually passing away in 2023. Flt Lt Trotman DFC refers to Flight Lieutenant John Trotman (also known as Johnnie), a World War II Bomber Command veteran who flew Mosquito and Wellington aircraft, completing seventy missions as a pilot and serving in the Pathfinder Force. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) and a subsequent bar for his service, and he survived three crashes during his operational tours. He remained active in aviation after the war, flying into RAF Shawbury on his 100th birthday as a member of the Shropshire Aero Club and sadly passing away just weeks before his 103rd birthday. Rupert Noye completed two tours of operations as a rear gunner with 166 and 156 Squadrons. Rupert initially tried to become a wireless operator but on being unsuccessful with the requirements of that trade, re-mustered as an air gunner. Rupert completed his first tour at RAF Kirmington, an went on to be an instructor. W/O (Warrant Officer) D. Fraser was a Rear Gunner with No. 115 Squadron RAF in World War II. He was shot down by a night fighter during a raid on Hamburg in May 1941 and spent four years as a Prisoner of War. He enlisted in 1939 and trained as a mechanic before re-mustering as an air gunner, flying four operations with the squadron. . Single Vendor autograph collection. Good condition.
