A Japanese Namban Lacquer Table with Mother-of-Pearl Inlay and Original Feet, Momoyama–Early Edo Period.

A richly decorated Japanese Namban table, crafted in dark lacquered wood and embellished throughout with intricate mother-of-pearl inlay. The rectangular top displays a dense arrangement of floral motifs, geometric lattice patterns, and stylised birds, all set within multiple borders of repeating diamond and petal forms. Each corner is reinforced with engraved metal mounts featuring scrolling designs and floral cartouches. The table stands on four tapered legs, each adorned with inlaid foliate bands and framed by further gilt and mother-of-pearl ornamentation.
