A Royal Doulton 'John Peel' character jug, crafted from polychrome glazed ceramic. The jug depicts a smiling gentleman wearing a dark green top hat, a dark jacket, a red waistcoat, and a cravat. A brown cane forms the handle. The interior is glazed in a pale yellow. The underside features a clear Royal Doulton backstamp, comprising a crown over a lion, stating "MADE IN ENGLAND ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND, " along with an "A" mark and a partially obscured D-series model number, "D6XXX". Four white felt pads are adhered to the base.
