This superb Rolls-Royce Sports Saloon, with coachwork by James Young, is offered with full ownership history and a record of service and maintenance.

With coachwork completed by James Young, the car was tested by them before delivery to W.H. Johnston & Sons of Kings Lynn, Norfolk on the 23010933. The Rolls-Royce guarantee was activated on the 24010933. The first private owner was a Mr William Wright of The Hall, Ludham. Gt Yarmouth who became the registered owner on the 12-20934, which was when he was recorded on the Rolls-Royce files. The car was at the Rolls-Royce works for various works in 1934, which included new valves, engine adjustment, new lock plates. In 1934 the car was again back at the works for new road springs, modified camshaft, clutch work and brake works. In 1952 the owner is shown as a Mr J Fletcher of Wymondham, Norfolk but by 1954 the car has passed through Mascot Motors with a mileage reading of 124,805 miles. The new owners were The Dominican Council, St Dominic's Priory, London NW5. The ownership record continues, together with reports of various works done at different stages of the car's life. This information is contained within the history file.

The car was acquired by the vendor in July 2007 from Mr R. Richmond of Fordingbridge, Hampshire and a report was commissioned from Malcolm Rolfe. In October 2007 a schedule of works was carried out by Mr Rolfes Prestige Car Care at a cost of £1,132.04. In January 2008 the motor car was fully re-upholstered by L & R W.H. Piper of Sparkford, Somerset. 7 hides were used to replace the existing leather with the current and excellent green seats and door linings. In May of the same year the dynamo was reconditioned and refitted by PCC and in December 2008 the car was sent to Sargents of Goudhurst for works to wings and running boards. This involved having new wings manufactured, rather than the repair of the existing ones.

In January 2009 the care and maintenance was transferred to William James Motors, who, in June 2009 overhauled the clutch (£2271) and in July fitted a new exhaust manifold (£1475). In March 2011 the vendor bought a new Seltham radiator which was fitted by William James Motors (£3640) and in October 2013 major gearbox and clutch works were carried out by WJM (£1513).

The car is offered in very good order, starts at the first turn and runs like the proverbial sewing machine. The 6 year-old re-upholstered interior is still in superb order. The motor car is equipped with the 3.7 litre, straight six engine and manual transmission, which is in excellent working order. On the recent short drive to photograph the motor car it drove very well, in all gears.

This superb Rolls-Royce sports saloon is only offered for sale due to the advancing years of the vendor and his wife, which means that it does not get used.

Note: Despite the fact that the car does not require an MoT, the vendor did obtain a new certificate in May of this year.
