Two (2) Battle Of Britain 25th anniversary commemorative medals, made by Corbitt & Hunter Ltd, in gold and silver. The gold medal features a portrait of a fighter pilot with the words 'BATTLE OF BRITAIN 25th ANNIVERSARY' around, the reverse shows the anniversary dates: '1940-1965'. Weighs 14.8g and is hallmarked 22ct but tests as 24ct, as per information on the accompanying certificate. The silver medal weighs 8.4g. Original boxes, a certificate and a 1965-dated receipt are also supplied with this lot.
