Engine No: 1703A33P
Chassis No: J2115

Colour: BRG
Details:
This MG J2 was originally registered on 26th September 1932. Very few MG J2s were built (just 2,083 between 1932 and 1934). Cycle wings appeared only on those from 1932, replaced in 1933 by the full-length type typical of all sports MGs until the 1950s TF.

This particular car, with Chassis number J2115 and engine number 1703A33P, (original UK Registration Document Ref.0221-847-7943) was, according to Triple M Register member notes, a University Motors Car, which means that it bore the MG 1896 registration number from new.

The first owner, E. Hight, competed in the 1934 JCC Brooklands Rally and gained a 2nd in class award in the car. (Triple M Register certifies this.)

The car was well maintained until the 1970s , at which point it was refurbished and rebuilt with the current bodywork, which emulates the wonderful EX120 of Nigel Musselwhite (similar to D0460), with a boat tail back , racing cockpit, big rear wheels and left side exhaust.

An active participant in MG Owners Club events, the car took part in the Brooklands event in April 1987, in the Fourth MG Regency Run (from London to Brighton) on the 17th of May 1987, in the Brooklands events in 1988 and 1992. It was driven by Clive Richard D. Baker and Peter John Stace

This fabulous little car is finished in British Racing Green with brown trim. It is equipped with Le Mans aero screen, louvered bonnet with leather strap, boat tail back, side exhaust, cycle wings and stone guards on the head lights, plus Le Mans fuel filler cap and large rev counter.

This is a truly exciting road/racing car and great fun to drive. It is in excellent condition throughout after undergoing a major restoration with little use since.

It has British documents and also Spanish documentation, and has been registered as an historic car in Spain.
