An early Victorian gold topaz brooch. Of openwork design, the pear and oval-shape pink topaz quatrefoil, within a scrolling foliate panel, suspending a similarly-set pear-shape topaz drop on snake-link swags. French assay marks. Length 8.6cms. Weight 13.4gms. With fitted case.

  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Probable replacement gems.
  • Localised scratches to top of reverse.
  • Topaz are a well matched slightly purplish pink hue, fairly well saturated, with good clarity.

  • Topaz in good condition with minor abrasions, one pear-shape topaz with small surface reaching inclusion.

  • Width 4.3cms.
